Welcome to the GOLD Website at SUNY Geneseo. Although GOLD is a leadership development program
designed primarily for students at the College, everyone in the college community or Livingston County
area is welcome to participate in any of our programs. Leadership workshops are offered weekly
throughout the academic year on most Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons in short one-hour
time blocks. All programs are free except for an occasional special event or program that might require
reservations or tickets.
If you would like to participate in the GOLD Program, you are welcome to register and attend any of the
250 workshops offered during the current academic year. There are no prerequisites and you do not
need to be an officer or current leader in an organization to participate. Everyone has the capacity to
learn and practice leadership and the GOLD Program is designed to get you started and take you as far
as you would like to go on a leadership journey. Join us and learn from our seventy volunteer instructors
as well as from hundreds of other students in the program.
If you like what you see on this website and would like to participate in the GOLD Program, just click on create an account at the top of the page. Select either current student or community resident and complete the registration form. You will use your on-line GOLD account to register for workshops and if you decide to pursue one or more of our nine leadership certificates, your progress records will be in the account.
