What is this certificate program all about?
The certificate program was developed at the request of students to permit a tangible incentive for participation in leadership workshops, and to recognize students who invest time and energy in developing their leadership skills and knowledge. The bronze, silver, gold, opal, sapphire, emerald, ruby, and diamond certificates are awarded upon completion of eight workshops at each level (total of sixty-four) provided that the various required sessions and journals are also completed.

Who is eligible?
Any Geneseo student or member of the Geneseo campus and surrounding community may register and take any workshop whenever it is offered. You do not have to be an elected leader or even a member of an organization. Start when you are ready and take as many workshops as you would like. There is no charge for workshops or certificates. The gold certificate also requires students to prepare and present a personal leadership model Developing A Personal Leadership Model as a capstone experience that will serve as a personal compass while engaging in leadership in the future.
