Opal Leadership Certificate

OPAL DIVERSITY AND CULTURAL COMPETENCY CERTIFICATE
The Opal Certificate is designed to help students recognize and understand that all environments are diverse and that diverse environments are complex and challenging, present a wealth of opportunity, and are constantly changing. Students will be introduced to the skill sets needed to be better able to address the challenges, as well as recognize and mine the opportunities that diversity presents. Upon completion of the program, the student will be: more comfortable working as a member of a diverse team; better able to recognize crosscultural barriers that can hinder communication; and less likely to make assumptions about others based on superficial traits and characteristics.
